The Parkfield Inn, Whitefield

I've recently renovated and re-opened my local pub with a couple of friends. The The Parkfield is a friendly and relaxing local pub and eatery offering an extensive range of locally brewed cask ales, continental beers and fine wines. All the food on our menu is fresh, locally sourced and prepared by our chef Paulo and his team. menu and more information at www.theparkfield.com

this is just the kind of thing I can't resist forking out huge amounts of money for, my friends all think I'm mad but I don't mind paying for stuff thats this cool, the exclusivity doesn't do it any harm either, anyway junya watanabe has done another winner with this wool and cotton mix blazer, features elbow patches (i love elbow patches) and a fairisle knit stripe thingy, looks great to me. however don't buy one, I'm getting it. available at tessabit, como

app controlled spy rover

somebody needs to buy me this for christmas, although my dog is going to hate it, controlled by an iPhone or iPad app and working wirelessly over 100ft through walls, or 200ft without, you can drive this thing around whilst seeing what it see's on the screen of your idevice. can't think of any use I'd have for it other than fooling around but seems like a great waste of $149.99. The control app is a free download and runs on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch.

iphone 5 assistant sounds pretty incredible

Iphone 5 mockupwell the rumour mill has been going for what seems like an eternity with regards to new features and looks on the hopefully imminent iPhone 5. hopefully not too long to wait now as it would appear the phone will be announced on october the 4th and then released ten days later on the 14th. improvements are rumoured to include; assistant, 1GB of RAM, the dual-core A5 processor, nuance speech-to-text, and an 8 megapixel camera. looks wise it's going to have a rounder metal back, larger screen (although not larger phone).

easily the best part of this new assistant feature is its integration with something called wolfram alpha, an online computational knowledge system. you could essentially ask your phone facts or questions of all types and get an instant response. For example, you can ask your phone a currency conversion or ask how many meters are there in 46ft. I supposed you could ask for directions while driving too. pretty cool shit if you ask me.

1952 Ferrari 340 Mexico Berlinetta Re-creation

Coach-builder Gullwing America has announced its new project, this one-off Ferrari F-340 Competizione, based on the 1952 Ferrari 340 Mexico Berlineta.

That 1952 model was built for competition in the Carrera Panamericana race in Mexico. Only 3 exemplars of the car were ever made.

Proprietor, Arturo Alonso, from the San Antonio, Texas-based Gullwing America, will be re-inventing the model using modern technology. The car will be based on a 456 Ferrari platform that will be re-bodied in aluminum and hand-made by Australian Mark Nungent. New additions will include a diffuser, rear spoiler, side vents and front splitters.

Power will come from a 5.4 liter V12 producing 476 PS (350 kW / 470 hp) coupled to an original 6-speed manual transmission. Modern tech on the car will include the brakes and taught suspension.

On the inside, the look will remain close to the original car but will feature modern touches such as the carbon fiber seats, a roll bar, a special luggage set and chronometers.

dillon boy, corporations kill

every now and then I find artists that really grab my attention, seems i missed all the prints on this one but dillon boy's "corporations kill" is pretty excellent if you ask me, love this, anyway don't buy it because i'm going to, anyway its nearly $600 so not the cheapest, but reasonable for an original piece. his other work is neat too, suck it up walt

Commes Des Garcons Hat

autumn, fall, tree apocalypse, whatever you want to call it, shit is getting cold, time for a hat with furry bits. this is pretty freaking decent, I'll take it. my favourite japanese brand with a french name that sounds a bit odd when translated to english, come des garçons have done their usual quirky but badass magic and this is the result, check it out on colette.fr not cheap, also check out this one similar but with patterned bits

Aubin & Wills Freystrop Fox Jumper

Love this jumper from Aubin & Wills, been buying up a bit of their stuff lately, mostly a bit more understated than this, elbow patch sweaters and grey cardigans etc, either way the latest stuff is really quite lovely, proper gentlemen's clobber with no nonsense. get it done.

Doing the rounds on youtube is what looks to be a short teaser video featuring what looks to be shelves upon shelves of the elusive nike air mag's that featured on marty mcfly's feet in back to the future. no confirmation from nike as yet but they do own the patent for the self fastening shoe.
